Trusted Tester Panels in Emerging Markets

Abstract

User panels are a list of potential users to evaluate ideas and iterate on an early stage product development process. Trusted Tester panels are improved user panels to run multiple longitudinal trials to test product-market fit in real user environments. This workshop will discuss the approach and salient themes on how to engage such a panel considering the range of tech literacy of the users in emerging market conditions. The goal of this workshop is to identify the benefits, limitations and pitfalls of the method, discuss and solicit the experience from other HCI researchers and practitioners in conducting research in emerging markets. As an outcome of the workshop, we will collate and share the information collected back with the community.
