Abstract

In an effort to prepare teaching material that is both factual and interesting, use has been made of today's computer technology to provide dynamics in the appearance of the material, through animation and careful use of videos, and interaction via a mouse and "sensitive" areas on the computer monitor. The benefits that these techniques offer are illustrated by looking at the teaching of elementary AC electrical quantities and the use to outline the aims and requirements of an experimental investigation. The teaching material is structured using an authoring language, in this case 'Authorware Professional'.<>
