Abstract
In this paper, a shunt active power filter (SAPF) has been proposed to deal with current harmonics problems. To control this system, Direct Current Control (DCC) is used because of its simplicity. This technique is divided into an internal current loop and an external voltage loop where a conventional PI controller has been employed to improve the static and dynamic states of the system. The control technique was implemented using dSP ACE and the power system was built in laboratory in order to prove the performances obtained from the simulation.
