Psychological Overview of Children with Cancer: Systematic Review

Abstract

Background: Children with cancer will experience changes in their lives that will have an impact on many aspects, one of which is psychological changes among these children. Objectives: To find out about the psychology of children with cancer. Methods: This systematic review search used Science Direct, PubMed, Clarivate, EBSCO, SpringerLink, Scopus, Sage, Wiley, and Cambridge Core database sources. Result: About 15 articles that describe the psychology of children with cancer, both positively and negatively. Conclusion: Considering cancer impacts children's psychology, nurses should be able to recognize psychological changes in children.
