Abstract

TSC in thin films of the co-polymer poly (hexa-fluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene)(commonly called FEP-Teflon) exposed to electron irradiation has been widely studied [1,2], because of the practical advantages this material offers when used to fabricate electrets. Irradiation is usually performed in open-circuit in the temperature range 273–300 K, the sample then being short-circuited and heated at a constant rate (typically 1–3 K/min) to a maximum temperature around 500 K.
