Abstract
MANETS stands for Mobile Ad hoc Networks. It is a self-configuring network of mobile devices connected without the use of a fixed infrastructure such as a router or base station. In a MANET, nodes can move around and join or leave the network at any time, making it a highly dynamic and decentralized type of network. the multi-hop communications in those networks are possible through routing protocols, most of these protocols do not take into account the distribution of the load of traffic, In this study we propose a new approach of distribution of the traffic load for the AODV protocol that is implemented at the route discovery process and adds another cost that is based on the number of packets . The final selection will be based on the minimum cost and the shortest path to destination. The simulation results show that the proposed technique enhances the delay, the normalized routing and delivery ratio.
