The Imam 'Ibrahim b. 'Uwramat al'Asbahani and his Methodology of Judgment of Narrators

Abstract

This research deals with studying the life of Imam 'Ibrahim b. 'uwramat al'asbahani stating his position and impact on the science of hadith science in general. It reveals his approach for judging men by collecting his words spread in the books of wound and modification, and comparing them with the sayings of other critics with the aim of determining the extent of their approval or disagreement with him. Finally the characteristics of his approach for criticizing men is discussed.
