Abstract

This paper introduces an efficient approach to lower the reciprocal disturbance between indoor and outdoor environments, by using frequency selective surfaces, specifically designed in order to widen the radiofrequency attenuation through housing apertures, without cancelling visible light transmission. The identified solution can be manufactured by means of inexpensive and massive industrial processes, it can be easily installed and the design procedure can be efficiently adapted to any case of application. Some simulations and experimental data are reported, confirming the validity of the proposed approach.
