Computer-aided evaluation of satellite networks in hostile environments

Abstract

A geometric computer model which places satellites in either low-Earth or geosynchronous orbits is described. The model is used in conjunction with table lookup and interpolation from performance characteristics of spread-spectrum multiple-access communications schemes to determine link and end-to-end performance of satellite communications networks in hostile environments. The program is implemented on a DEC Microvax workstation for interactive operation.<>
