THE IMAGE OF THE CHARACTER IN AN UNFAMILIAR WORLD IN F. M. DOSTOEVSKY: I. KANT’S GNOSEOLOGICAL QUESTION

Abstract

The paper considers the image of the main character in F. M. Dostoevsky’s novels “The Village of Stepanchikovo”, “The Idiot” and “The Brothers Karamazov” in the light of I. Kant’s and his successors’ search for a gnoseological foundation required to answer their questions on God, eternal life, and freedom.
