Abstract

In recent papers it has been shown that any microstrip structure can be modelled using 2D TLM approach. The procedure is based on domain segmentation and then replacing segments with their equivalent RLC circuits. There are a lot of different segment types: rectangular, squared, trapezoidal, radial etc. For all these segment types equivalent networks and circuits elements are derived. A very important aspect of the model is its accuracy. In this paper, model accuracy depending on segment size is discussed.
