To formulate the mathematical structure of Simultaneous Transmission and Substation Expansion Planning (STSEP) problem the widely used DC power flow model is used. The proposed problem also considers the uncertainties in the load. The proposed model is tested on the modified IEEE 24-bus reliability test system. Abstract

In this paper, the transmission and substation expansion planning is solved simultaneously by Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) optimization technique.
