Abstract

Wind energy is one of the most available energies in Morocco that could contribute appreciably to the improvement of national energy mix. Identifying optimal locations for wind farm energy is a key issue in the wind energy development process. However, site selection is a complex study that involves not only technical considerations, but also economic, social and environmental requirements. Our research aims to develop a comprehensive and multi-criteria approach based on GIS and MCDM for the assessment of suitable locations for wind farm energy in Morocco..
