A time-domain asymptotic-numerical solution (TD-ANS) is used for computations in a forward transient scattered electric field by a coated metal cylinder. An analysis method using the TD-ANS provides a basis of nondestructive testing for corrosion degree of rebar in steel reinforced concrete structures. We confirm the validity of the TD-ANS by comparing with a reference solution. Abstract
We calculate forward transient scattering by a metal cylinder covered with a homogeneous medium (coated metal cylinder).
