Abstract
Three places were considered as core spaces in the capital city Hanyang, currently Seoul, of the Joseon Dynasty: firstly Kyeong-bok-gung palace, secondly Jong-myo shrine and thirdly Sa-jik-dan altar. The shrine and the altar are on the both side of the palace, but the alternation ceremony in Kyeong-bok-gung palace and a sacrificial ceremony in Jong-myo shrine have been going on separately. This shows the historical sites were not conjunctly connected. It is possible to explain the historic cultural heritages of Seoul in more various ways by connecting the ceremonial walk of the King and the joyful activities of the people, especially on the way from the palace through the city center of Seoul.
