Blockchain is a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) that ensures integrity, immutability, transparency and decentralisation. Various Distributed Ledger Technology platforms have emerged over time. These platforms differ in terms of architecture, access permissions, mathematical models, and consensus algorithms. A performance benchmark for DLTs will aid in analysing them based on performance metrics. This paper presents a comparative analysis of existing benchmarking frameworks for DLT performance evaluation.
