Abstract

The proposal of this work is an alternative analysis about the voltage stabilizer AC/AC PWM and low-voltage sine output THD. More specifically, the control structure was designed to gate four bidirectional switches coupled in two branches. About the operation modes, they are defined by means of voltage and current polarities crossover, and it based Boolean expressions to gate the switches. Moreover, converter parameters were considered to design the filter, as well as they were applied to tune a PI controller. Simulations results considered RL and non-linear loads. In each case, analysis involves steady state waveforms, output voltage and current THD, as well as control action under grid transients (sag / swell) and their effects.
