Abstract

This paper discusses the effect of the electrical properties of soil, permittivity and conductivity, on the electric field values around EHV transmission lines. Also, this paper studies the effect of soil thickness on the field values. The assessment of such electric fields is based on the charge simulation technique with complex fictitious charges.
