Realization of a-Sandwich Spherical Radome for X-Band Weather Radar

Abstract

This paper provides the gist of the geometrical, structural and electromagnetic design approach considered for realization of a X band Radome. The paper describes the various phases of test and evaluation methods conducted towards the successful realization of the hardware. The joint optimization procedure for the panel junctions is also discussed. The paper concludes with the antenna pattern measurements with and without radome.
