Los infantes de Carrión y las hijas del Cid: su realidad histórica en relación con los personajes literarios

Abstract

El artículo analiza la relación de los personajes de las hijas del Cid y los infantes de Carrión con sus equivalentes históricos, demostrando que dicho vínculo es casi inexistente. El trabajo se centra en el episodio de la afrenta de Corpes y, brevemente, explica por qué la práctica invención de los personajes tiene una gran relevancia narrativa en el Poema de Mío Cid.Palabras clave: Poema de Mío Cid, hijas del Cid, infantes de Carrión, geminación, figuras históricas.The Infants of Carrión and the daughters of the Cid: their historical reality in relation to the literary charactersAbstract: This article analyzes the relationship between the characters of the daughters of the Cid and the Infants of Carrión and their historical counterparts, demonstrating that such a link is almost nonexistent.
