Abstract

In this paper, a novel normalized weighted capacity criterion (NWCC) is proposed and applied to 5G-HAP cellular systems to optimize multi-beam antenna pattern. An utility function is designed regarding the cell average and cell edge weighted capacity, so the network design strategy can be adjusted by the weighting factor. Moreover, the CINR restrictions for achievable capacity calculation are discussed to make NWCC practical and implementable in 5G-HAP system.
