Abstract
The interest of barium titanate has increased during the ten last years for applications in optical data processing and phase conjugate wave front generation. Nevertheless, many of the physical, optical and dielectric properties of this material are not very well inderstood and the microscopic mechanism of the photorefractive phenomena is widely discussed as it is explained in the review paper of M. Klein [1].
