VCS: a virtual environment support for awareness and collaboration

Abstract

In this paper, a prototype system providing awareness and collaborations in a virtual environment is introduced. The system fi.rlfills the idea by using the visual object extracting, multiple cameras and cornpositing of the natural and virtual scenes. The result is that the awareness such as the proper eye contact is maintained in a teleconferecing system.
