Contributions to Electromagnetic Theory, Radar and Communication Technologies by Dr. Henning F. Harmuth

Abstract

The paper is devoted to 90-years anniversary of Dr. Henning F. Harmuth, the outstanding scientist and electrical engineer who has been successfully working in the field of Electromagnetic theory and applications close to 70 years. He has proposed several revolutionary ideas in electromagnetics, radar and communication sciences, which are briefly summarized here. Equations for self-consistent description of signal propagation through lossy medium are formulated and physical justification of Harmuth ansatz is given.
