Bibliography database metadata – challenges and solutions

Abstract

Any function of bibliographic databases cannot be performed without metadata. Creating and managing metadata is a key activity and a commune responsibility of content producers, distributors and users, as important as the content itself. Open and relevant metadata contribute to increasing the visibility of digital scientific content.
