Abstract

Multiple torque component single air gap magnetless machine is a kind of novel machine, which exists outstanding fault tolerance. Due to the dual armature winding on both the stator and rotor, it can produce four torque components and can work under different operation situations. However, there are a few researches studying the current distribution on stator and rotor armature windings. This paper proposes a method to settle the problem of stator and rotor current distribution by applying the MTPA control strategy. Firstly, the topology and operation principle of the machine is introduced, then the mathematical model is given. After that, the MTPA control strategy is deduced and analyzed.
