Abstract

A novel antenna structure for UWB applications is presented. The novel antenna is based on previous research work on two layer planar UWB antennas. The novel antenna uses a radiating structure in the same plane as the ground plane, while the stripline feed is extended within the centre layer. The stripline feed couples with the elliptical shaped structure with two circular cuts. The proposed antenna is smaller size than previously reported two layers structures.
