Abstract
This study is results of effectiveness analysis of warning service on various situations at signalized intersections using V2X communication technology. In this study, we analyzed the results of the delay and safety of vehicles when warnings about tailgating vehicles and the entry of a dilemma vehicle at the intersection were not provided or provided to vehicles based on the simulation. When providing this information from the infrastructure in advance to the vehicle, it was verified that it could generally improve the safety although there was a slight delay. The research results will be applied to the development of an intersection safety information system, which is part of the international collaborative project AUTOPILOT, and tested on a Korean test site. Infrastructure information provided by this system under development will help overcome the limitation of autonomous vehicle.
