Moreover, the spread spectrum signal is able to make full use of the available bandwidth of underwater acoustic channel to overcome the problem of low utilization rate of bandwidth of traditional positioning signals. The positioning system combines satellite navigation and underwater positioning technology. Abstract

Based on the demands of autonomous underwater vehicle positioning, this paper puts forward a method which uses the GPS buoys to constitute a measuring array. The spread spectrum signal, which can effectively solve the interference problem of different positioning signals and finish ranging and transmitting information at the same time, is introduced to the positioning system.
