Due to the presence of color filters in these sensors, the data transmission rate in OCC systems can be increased by using RGB LED and WDM. Abstract

Power efficiency and ability to high-speed modulation enables LEDs to transmit data in optical wireless communications. Optical camera communication (OCC) is a special type of VLC in which imaging sensor is using as a receiver instead of photodetector.
