Abstract
In this paper preliminary results obtained by analyzing SAR images collected during the MAC EUROPE '91 Campaign will be presented. A NASA airfcraft, carrying on board a multifrequency, polarimetric SAR (at P, L and C bands) flew in summer 1991 over different European test-sites. In Tuscany a test-site close to Florence, in the Montespertoli area, was chosen for the experiment. Preliminary results show a reasonable sensitivity to vegetation and soil characteristics.
