Heterogeneous sensor network can be described as a network which contains some special nodes with varying computing power and sensing range. Adding heterogeneity also helps in maintaining the overall load of the network. In order to achieve maximum lifetime placement of such heterogeneous nodes in optimum locations is integral. By integrating particle swarm and ant colony optimization techniques, we have proposed an efficient deployment and dynamic routing mechanism which is simulated in matlab.
