Abstract

Lata Mangeshkar has a unrivaled position in numerous works and musical influence within the Indian film and music industry. Overseas researches that have studied her voice have been discussing femininity mainly in terms of slender tone and high-pitched tone. However, her unique tone technique that moves the compositional melody from left to right and up and down from her voice timbre itself and the vocal style that reproduces the melody based on above things which are distinctive feature in the style of Indian music that has been highly westernized.
