Acta Sedimentologica Sinica (a bi-monthly journal), founded in 1983, is one of the professional academic journals in the field of geology in China, co-sponsored by the Northwest Institute of Ecology and Environmental Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other units, aiming at promoting the development of the discipline of sedimentology and academic exchanges. The journal mainly publishes innovative research results, new technologies and theories in sedimentology and related fields, and at the same time pays attention to academic activities and discipline dynamics. The target readers include scientific researchers, university teachers and engineers. Acta Sedimentologica Sinica has been listed as a core journal in many well-known databases at home and abroad, including CSCD, China Science and Technology Core Journals, Chinese Core Journal Abstracts, Wipo, China Knowledge Network, RCCSE, etc. It is also listed in Scopus, DOAJ, Geobase, EBSCO, Chemical Abstracts and Japan Science and Technology Agency (JSTA) database. In addition, Journal of Sedimentation has been awarded the title of ‘China's Most Beautiful Journal’ and selected for many important journal exhibitions and projects, which is an important academic resource in the field of geology.
