The Journal of Studies on Marxism, an academic journal supervised by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and organised by the Institute of Marxism of CASS, has become an important academic platform for public circulation at home and abroad since its inception in 1995. The journal, published as a monthly magazine, is dedicated to the study and propagation of the overall theory of Marxism, including the basic principles of Marxism, the Chineseisation of Marxism, and Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

With its academic and authoritative nature, Studies on Marxism is included in several well-known databases at home and abroad, including the Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI), Chinese Core Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Chinese Core Journals, Source Journals of China Academic Journals Comprehensive Evaluation Database, and authoritative academic journals in China of the RCCSE, among others.
