The Journal of Nanjing Medical University (Social Science Edition) was founded at the end of 2000, a bimonthly journal, ISSN 1671-0479, CN32-1606/C, adhering to the purpose of serving the medical and health care cause, and in line with the principle of academic no-go area and disciplined publicity, it publishes academic papers related to medical and health care cause of the social sciences, such as health services, social medicine, bioethics, health management, medical education and other fields, combined with regional historical and cultural characteristics and current hot issues of social concern, to set up key columns for health services, Jinling medical history and doctor-patient communication. It publishes academic papers in social sciences related to health care, such as health services, social medicine, life ethics, health management, medical education, etc., and sets up key columns on health services, medical history of Jinling, and doctor-patient communication in combination with regional history and cultural characteristics as well as current hot issues of social concern, so as to provide a platform for academic exchanges between teachers and students of medical colleges and universities at all levels as well as medical staff of all levels and types of medical institutions in the country.

《南京医科大学学报（社会科学版）》创刊于2000年底，双月刊，ISSN1671-0479，CN32-1606/C，秉承为医疗卫生事业服务的办刊宗旨，本着学术无禁区，宣传有纪律的原则，刊登与医疗卫生事业相关的社科类学术论文，如卫生服务、社会医学、生命伦理、健康管理、医学教育等领域，结合地域历史和文化特色以及当前社会关注的热点问题设立重点栏目为卫生服务、金陵医史和医患沟通，为全国各级医药类高等院校师生及全国各级各类医疗机构的医务人员提供学术交流的平台。
