The Chinese Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, originally launched in April 2008, is a national authoritative journal under the supervision of National Health Commission of the PRC, sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and edited and published by the editorial office of Chinese Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery of the Peking Union Medical College Press. Prof. Qiu Guixing, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Peking Union Medical College Hospital(PUMCH), serves as the editor-in-chief; Prof. Weng Xisheng, director of the Department of Surgery of PUMCH, serves as the director of editorial office; and well-known orthopedic experts from major hospitals across the country serve as advisory editorial board members, deputy editors-in-chief, executive editorial board members and editorial board members. Its first-class academic level has played an authoritative guiding role in the clinical practice of orthopedics at all levels in China, and it has attracted great attention by the professionals in the industry since the inception. The journal is a monthly publication, published on the 20th of each month, with 12 issues in a year.
This journal is mainly oriented to the majority of professionals at all levels engaged in basic and clinical work in orthopedics, introduces the new ideas, results and technologies of basic and clinical research in bone and joint surgery, reflects the latest progress of China's orthopedic medical work, and promotes academic exchanges in orthopedic medicine at home and abroad.
