Lin Chung Er Bi Yan Hou Tou Jing Wai Ke Za Zhi is a peer-reviewed journal and the definitive journal for scientists, clinicians, and trainees in the field of otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery, and the inaugural issue debuted on May 20, 1987. It has been continuously selected as the Chinese core journal of Peking University and the statistical source journal of Chinese scientific and technological papers, and selected as the T2 level Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Science in the classification catalogue of high-quality scientific and technological journals in China. It is a nominated Journal for the second National Journal Award, a hundred key journals for the third National Journal Award, a double effect Journal of the Chinese Journal matrix, one of the top ten influential natural science academic journals in Hubei Province, and a selected journal for the "excellent journal exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China". It has been included in important databases and authoritative abstracts at home and abroad such as Medline of the United States, chemical abstracts of the United States (CA), Dutch abstracts and Citations Database (Scopus), Western Pacific Medical Index of the World Health Organization (WPRIM), Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) and RCCSE Chinese core academic journals.

《临床耳鼻咽喉头颈外科杂志》（原名《临床耳鼻咽喉科杂志》）是由中华人民共和国教育部主管，华中科技大学同济医学院附属协和医院主办，国内外公开发行的学术性期刊，创刊于1987年。自创刊之日起，本刊一直致力于提高科学技术水平、促进医学发展，并取得了较为满意的成绩。连续入选北大中文核心期刊和中国科技论文统计源期刊，为第二届国家期刊奖提名奖期刊，第三届国家期刊奖百种重点期刊，中国期刊方阵双效期刊，湖北十大有影响力的自然科学学术期刊和“庆祝中华人民共和国成立70周年精品期刊展”入选期刊。被PMC、PubMed、美国Medline、美国《化学文摘》（CA）、荷兰文摘与引文数据库（Scopus）、WHO西太平洋地区医学索引（WPRIM）、RCCSE中国核心学术期刊（A）等国内外重要数据库和权威性文摘期刊收录。
