The Journal of International Security Studies (bimonthly) was founded in 1983 and is sponsored by the School of International Relations. It is an academic journal with a focus on security research, with the aim of "strengthening strategic thinking, examining international security, and safeguarding national interests". It mainly publishes first-class academic research results in the fields of international relations, national security, and international security, and enjoys a certain reputation in the Chinese academic community.
The Journal of International Security Studies has been included in famous databases such as CSSCI South University Journal (including the expanded version), Peking University Journal (China Humanities and Social Sciences Journal), and is one of the national key academic journals in charge of the Institute of International Relations.
