Founded in 2009, City Watch is a comprehensive urban research journal (bimonthly) sponsored by the Guangzhou Federation of Social Sciences. Its purpose is to "gather global urban wisdom resources and build a high-end think tank for urban development". Since its inception, City Watch has always adhered to the principle of high-quality publication, striving to "gather global urban research wisdom resources and build a public think tank for urban scientific development", actively exploring the laws and experiences of urban scientific development, in order to show the latest theories and trends of cities in the world today, and strive to provide forward-looking and practical academic reference materials for decision makers and managers at all levels. Since 2023, City Watch has adopted full-color printing, continuously expanding the space for visual elements, charts, and formulas, making the data more intuitive and accurate, and the central idea more prominent.
