西北大学学报:自然科学版

The Journal of Northwest University, the original Chinese name being “Xuecong”, which (literally means Academic Collection), was founded on July 1, 1913 and was pucblished monthly. It is one of the first journals published by a university in China. Although the name, format and publication frequency of the journal have changed several times. In 1924 to Northwest University Weekly, then in 1939 to Northwest University Journal (1939), in 1943 to Northwest Academic and finally to Journal of Northwest University (1957) it has for more than hundred years been an academic, scholarly journal. This journal publishes research in Earth Science, Abiogenesis, Geological Engineering and Exploration, Natural Geography and Planning, Information science. Journal of Northwest University (Natural Science Edition) adheres to the principle of "Promoting scientific innovation, serving scientific research, disseminating academic knowledge and benefiting the world". As the journal published by a century-old university with, it has emphasized the importance of secular science, respecting universal laws, the cumulative character of science. The journal tries to serve the mission of deepening comprehensive reform and accelerating building "Double first-class" universities in the new era. It leverages the strength of a comprehensive university, by encouraging and supporting inter-disciplinary research in order to fullfil the aim of "publishing a first-class journal based on path-breaking research ".

《西北大学学报》的前身为西北大学《学丛》月刊，创刊于 1913 年 7 月 1 日，是全国创办最早的大学学报之一。后虽经《西北大学周刊》（1924 年）、《西大学报》（1939 年）、《西北学术》（1943 年）、《西北大学学报》（1957 年）等刊名变迁，但始终学术薪火相传，延续至今。该期刊以“守正创新，服务科研，传播学术”为宗旨，依托西北大学的优势学科，形成了地质学、地理学、信息科学等特色栏目，学术影响力不断扩大。 作为中国知网统计源期刊，它在自然科学类科技期刊中排名靠前，影响因子2.038，被多个国内外数据库收录。同时，它也是北京大学《中文核心期刊要目总览》收录期刊、中国科学引文数据库来源期刊（CSCD）核心库成员、WJCI科技期刊世界影响力指数报告Q2区期刊，多次获得表彰和奖励，是学术界公认的高质量期刊。
