"Journal of Distance Education" is a CSSCI-indexed journal, hosted by Zhejiang Open University. It is a cutting-edge academic magazine that closely tracks and reflects the forefront of modern distance education, educational technology, and related fields both domestically and internationally, showcasing a broad educational research landscape for its readers and authors. The journal mainly features sections such as Special Contributions of This Issue, Theoretical Frontiers, New Theories of Learning, Academic Perspectives, In-Depth Analysis, Thematic Discussions, Open Universities, Community Education, and more.

《远程教育杂志》系CSSCI来源期刊，是由浙江开放大学主办的一本紧密追踪与反映国内外现代远程教育、教育技术及相关领域的前沿脉搏、选题与研究新进展，为广大读者/作者展示广阔的教育研究图景的新锐学术性杂志。 期刊主要开设有本期特稿、理论前沿、学习新论、学术视点、深度阐述、专题研讨、开放大学、社区教育等多个栏目。 重点关注“学习科学”领域中的最新研究进展，以版块式、专题式呈现国内外相关的研究成果。刊发文章的影响因子与转载率近年来逐年上升。在清华大学“中国科学文献计量评价研究中心”等发布的《中国学术期刊影响因子年报（社会科学版）》（2010-2013）中，期刊复合影响因子从2010年的1.065，上升到2011年的1.509、2012年的1.595、2013年的1.709。期刊复合影响因子学科排序2013年底进入教育类期刊前10位，列9/258。在2011年5月武汉大学“中国科学评价中心”公布的第二届中国学术期刊评价中，《远程教育杂志》首次被评为A- RCCSE核心期刊。2013年4月，在武汉大学第三届RCCSE核心期刊评价中，被评为A类核心期刊，列教育类期刊第19位。
