World Economic Papers (bimonthly) is an academic journal of economics sponsored by the School of Economics of Fudan University. It is also one of the first economics journals in China to implement a two-way anonymous review system. Since its first edition in 2002, the journal has adopted the internationally popular 16-page format, aiming at ‘tracking the theoretical frontiers and focusing on China's economy’, and promoting the development of modern economic theories and China's economic research. The journal pays special attention to major practical issues in China's economic development, creating an atmosphere of exploration and academic controversy, and attracting many young and middle-aged economic scholars to publish relevant research results. After the revision, the quality of WEF has been significantly improved, and its article citation rate and other indicators are among the top 140 economics journals in China.
World Economic Papers is now included in CSSCI South University Journals (with extended edition), Beida Journals (China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals), Zhi.com (in Chinese), Wikipedia (in Chinese), Wanfang (in Chinese), National Library of China, and Shanghai Library of China.
