Acta Veterinaria et Zootechnica Sinica (monthly) is a scholarly journal of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine supervised by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and edited and published by the Beijing Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Founded in July 1956, it mainly reports the most innovative, breakthrough and major scientific research results representing the frontiers of scientific development in China's animal husbandry and veterinary industry, and publishes high-level academic papers and professional research reports in China's animal husbandry and veterinary field, as well as guiding and inspiring articles on production practice. The main columns include Expert Forum, Review, Genetic Breeding, Biotechnology and Reproduction, Nutrition and Feed, Preventive Veterinary Medicine, Basic Veterinary Medicine, Clinical Veterinary Medicine, and Research Bulletin. The target readers are teachers and students of universities and colleges as well as animal husbandry and veterinary production and research workers at all levels.
