Think Tank: Theory & Practice (bimonthly) is a high-end professional academic journal focusing on the combination of theoretical research on think tanks and practical innovation of think tanks in China, which is supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and co-sponsored by the Documentation and Intelligence Centre of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing University. The journal reports on good views, good ideas and good reports in the field of think tanks; continues to track important issues of keen interest in the field of think tanks, and encourages and promotes academic controversy and academic innovation; and continues to promote the formulation and improvement of relevant national policies through the research on new think tanks, and to promote the innovation and development of all relevant fields in the country. Readership: think tank theory researchers, think tank construction practitioners, think tank education and teaching personnel in government departments, universities, research institutes, and enterprises, as well as those interested in other fields. Since its inception in February 2016, the journal has taken the lead in the field of think tank research, filling the gap of no special academic journal in the field of think tank research at home and abroad.In 2018, it was included in the JST database of the Japan Science and Technology Agency, and was selected as the best think tank journal of the China Think Tank Report; in 2020, it was rated as the most popular journal in the discipline of management in the database of the National Philosophy and Social Science Documentation Centre; In 2021, it was included in the Chinese Social Science Citation Index CSSCI Extended Source Journals, and selected as ‘Think Tank Journal Group (Version 1.0)’; in 2022, it was included in the China Science and Technology Core Journals; in 2023, it was included in the Extended Journals of China's Humanities and Social Sciences A Journal Citation Database; and it was included in Peking University's Chinese Core Journals Catalogue.

《智库理论与实践》（双月刊）是我国智库界专注智库理论研究与智库实践创新相结合的高端专业学术期刊，由中国科学院主管，中国科学院文献情报中心与南京大学联合主办。本刊报道有关智库领域的好观点、好思想、好报告；持续跟踪智库领域热切关注的重要问题，鼓励和推动学术争鸣与学术创新；持续通过新型智库研究推动国家相关政策的制定与完善，推动国家各个相关领域的创新与发展。 读者对象：政府部门、大学、科研机构、企业的智库理论研究工作者、智库建设实践工作者、智库教育教学人员以及其他各领域对此感兴趣的人员。 自2016年2月创刊以来，该刊在智库研究领域率先发声，填补了国内外智库研究领域没有专门学术期刊的空白。2018年被日本科学技术振兴机构JST数据库收录，并入选中国智库报告最佳智库期刊；2020年被评为国家哲学社会科学文献中心数据库管理学学科最受欢迎期刊；2021年被中文社会科学引文索引CSSCI扩展版来源期刊收录，并入选《智库期刊群（1.0版）》；2022年被中国科技核心期刊收录；2023年被中国人文社会科学A刊引文数据库扩展期刊收录；被北京大学中文核心期刊目录收录。
