"Journal of Geomechanics," established in 1995, is an academic journal supervised by the China Geological Survey and hosted by the Institute of Geomechanics, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences. It continues the legacy of the "Geomechanics Series" founded by Li Siguang in 1959. The journal is dedicated to promoting Li Siguang's academic ideas and the principles of seeking truth, innovation, and development, serving as a vital showcase for scientific research achievements in the field of geomechanics. It primarily publishes fundamental theoretical research on crustal movement, continental geological structures, and their dynamic mechanisms, as well as applied research findings of geomechanical theories in areas such as mineral exploration, geological disaster prevention and control, geostress monitoring, and environmental changes. The journal is now included in several domestic and international databases, including the Peking University Chinese Core Journal, the Chinese Science and Technology Core Journal, and the WJCI source journal, among others.
