Journal of Intelligence is a scientific and technical journal supervised by China Coal Science and Industry Group Corporation (CCSIC) and sponsored by the General Academy of Coal Science and Research (GACOSR), and has become an important academic platform in the field of coal science and technology since its inception in 1973. The journal is a monthly publication and is widely included in many international and domestic databases, including Ei Compendex, the Engineering Index of the United States, the Scopus database of the Netherlands, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and the Core Library of China Science Citation Database (CSCD). It is also one of China's fine science and technology journals, Chinese core journals, China's science and technology core journals, and has been rated as RCCSE China Core Academic Journals (A), China's high-quality science and technology journals in the field of geosciences in the category of T1, and China's high-quality science and technology journals in the field of coal in the category of T1.
Journal of Intelligence mainly publishes information in the specialised fields of coal field geology, coal mine infrastructure, mine surveying, coal mining, rock mechanics and tunnel support, coal bed methane development and utilisation, coal mine safety, coal mine electromechanics and intelligence, coal processing and clean utilisation, green mining and mine environmental protection. It aims to publicise the guidelines and policies for the development of China's coal industry and science and technology, report on new achievements and trends at home and abroad, reflect major scientific and technological issues in coal production, construction and comprehensive utilisation, promote academic exchanges and the growth of talents, and serve to enhance the level of coal science and technology and realise the sustainable development of the coal industry.
