The need for publishing such a journal was caused by rapid development of computer science and information technologies having great influence on the country’s development and IT penetration into all life-spheres of modern society. The Journal’s subject area is determined by the fact that informatics is a complex discipline based on the achievements of other scientific fields including mathematics, physics, linguistics etc. At the same time the Journal gives significant consideration to modern information technologies resulting from advances of informatics as a fundamental science.
