Sciences of conservation and archaeology is an academic journal sponsored by the Shanghai Museum and supervised by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism (Shanghai Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage). In 1989, the Shanghai Museum officially founded the journal Sciences of conservation and archaeology, aiming to fully report the scientific research results of the cultural relics and archaeology community at home and abroad, so that more cultural relics workers and enthusiasts can understand, convey and exchange traditional or advanced scientific and technological methods in cultural relics protection and archaeology, thereby promoting the application of science and technology in the field of ancient cultural relics research, improving the level of cultural relics protection in my country, and promoting in-depth research in scientific and technological archaeology. The journal focuses on social benefits and fully reflects the professional characteristics of cultural and museum science and technology. It mainly reports on research and application results in the field of cultural relics science and technology, and is characterized by combining innovation and practicality, and giving equal importance to improvement and popularization. It reflects the new progress and trends in the same field of research at home and abroad.
