Journal of Internal Intensive Medicine is the first medical journal in China that focuses on clinical acute and critical illnesses in various specialties of internal medicine, related neurology, infectious diseases, etc. It is supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, hosted by Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and undertaken by Tongji Hospital.
The main columns of Journal of Internal Intensive Medicine are: experts' forum, review, thesis (basic research and clinical research), short thesis, major scientific research results, review, academic exchanges, case discussions, lectures, diagnosis and treatment experience, cases and so on.
Journal of Internal Intensive Medicine was added to Tsinghua University CD-ROM search in 1997 and Wanfang database in 1999, and was listed as a source journal of China Science and Technology Paper Statistics (China Science and Technology Core Journal) in 2002. The total number of citations and the impact factor published in the past years have been increasing year by year.
